Puppy photos at 23 days added and a new pic on Puppy page of babies in a basket at 4 weeks. They have made huge progress and now Auntie Maddie is allowed to join in the fun - so the babies have two mums :o)

Elsa's puppies arrived on Saturday the 1st of October. She did a superb job and safely delivered 9 lovely healthy puppies. We have 7 boys and 2 girls, surprisingly 1 of the boys is red :o) Mother and babies are doing well. Elsa is very relaxed with this huge litter that is her first. Very proud of her and her wonderful family in Timaru for doing so well helping Elsa. Here is a link to the puppies pics September 2011

During our recent trip to Christchurch to mate Elsa we also had Gene (NZ Ch Fortress Stormseeker) and Gus (Fortress Black Ice) collected and we now have good quality frozen semen stored from both these boys. We believe they both have good qualities and are valuable in our own breeding program. Frozen semen is also available to approved bitches. Both these boys are ARVC Negative and HT0. Both boys have good sound temperaments and are strong and healthy. Gene has proven his value in the show ring being South Island Top Male Boxer 2010 - NZ Dogzonline - Best of Breed scoreboard, and is currently NZ Top Male Boxer - NZ Dogzonline - All Breeds and Best of Breed Scoreboard 2011. Gene also has a lovely pedigree combining top UK lines with our own NZ lines. Gus is the type of boxer who is invaluable to have in the background, he is relatively plain in markings and is full of himself, happy and confident. Gus is sound and well constructed and has some of NZ's top lines behind him. 05/08/2011 Added a page for the very impressive Future vom German Dream, Sire of Marc del Benicadell and Grand Sire to Marc and Elsa's litter. We are happy to announce that we have mated Marc to Elsa via AI - frozen semen. We had a lovely trip to Christchurch where Elsa kept us waiting but finally the time was right on the 1st August. We are heading up to Christchurch within the next few days to visit our favourite repro vet :o) hopefully resulting in the first litter for Fortress in over two years. We breed rarely so every litter is very special and this mating has been a long time in the planning! Finally we will use our coveted frozen semen from Marc del Benicadell - import Spain to US (Atibox Ch Future vom German Dream & Festa del Benicadell) to Fortress Little World Shaker (Aust Gr Ch Jimbren Sun Seeker to Vineen SOM - imp UK to Aust & NZ Ch Fortress Matawhero Magic).
